THE NEW KID ON THE BLOCK
Our products are designed and manufactured by the people, for the people and that doesn't end with knowing where your clothes come from and the people who make them. We’re bringing luxury quality clothing to the everyday American and that means real people and real stories. To this day, all of our models have been our friends rather than professionals and we want you to get to know them.
Our next friend and model we’re introducing you to as part of our #MeetTheModel blog series is Grace! From winning an Instagram giveaway to becoming the most recent addition to the model line-up, Grace is one of our youngest and most energetic models.
What do you do full time?
I just graduated from Grand Valley State University and will be starting my internship very soon with HELLA (an automotive supplier). While I was in school I babysat three kids and watched people’s dogs while they were out of town. I enjoy doing anything outside and love to be around people!
In 10 years, where do you hope to be?
In ten years I hope to be married and have at least two children. I hope to be happy and healthy and enjoying this wonderful life!
Do you spend time in Detroit? If so, what are some of your favorite things to do and places to go?
My favorite thing to do in Detroit is to visit the Detroit Institute of the Arts! I love trying spots I have never been to and seeing the city continuously develop!
How did you get involved with GETTEES and what made you want to model for GETTEES?
I discovered the brand via Instagram then soon found out, a friend of my family, Courtney (also a GETTEES model), knew Emily and other members of the GETTEES team! Coincidentally, Emily and I met when she photographed my sister’s surprise proposal outside of the Joe Louis Arena! A few weeks later, the GETTEES team invited me to be a part of the Spring ‘19 Campaign shoot
and I was SOOO excited!
Do you have a favorite GETTEES piece so far? If so, why is it your favorite?
My two favorites are the Heavyweight Box and the District Crew! They are the most comfortable pieces of clothing I own and are very flattering. One time, I wore my District Crew sweatshirt to my chiropractor and he was amazed at the feeling and stretch of the fabric.
If you could hop on a plane today, where would you go?
My first choice would be Italy, but I am going there in two weeks! My second choice would be Malta, because my mom’s side is Maltese.
What would you do with a million dollars right now?
I would invest some, set up college funds for my future kids, help any family or friends who need it and donate the rest to rescue shelters.
What’s something people might be surprised to learn about you?
I’m afraid of the dark when I am by myself, and I really really REALLY do not like scary movies!
