Digital Content Creator
GETTEES is a Michigan-based clothing brand that was founded as a champion of honest, quality American apparel manufacturing. Inspired by the Gettysburg Address and Detroit’s manufacturing legacy, our team aims to revitalize American Manufacturing while raising the standards of the garment industry. We own and operate our own factory in Sterling Heights, MI, where we craft premium apparel made from luxury U.S. materials.
We are currently looking to add a Digital Content Creator to our team to help lead the creative efforts of the brand. Working in collaboration with our founder, you will be responsible to produce creative assets for use on the company website, advertising, and social media. The ideal candidate will have experience in both photography and videography. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, a strong communicator, very detail-oriented, and have a passion for photography/videography with a portfolio demonstrating technical proficiency in both fields.
We are a small, tight-knit team with an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for bringing apparel manufacturing to Detroit while being an advocate for the city, its lifestyle, and its creative culture. This position is a unique opportunity to work with a fast-growing startup in the apparel industry.
What you will be doing:
- Brainstorm, plan and create content that aligns with the brand identity of GETTEES and reflects the company's mission
- Storyboard, budget, schedule models, and select optimal forms of media for scheduled projects
- Organize raw media for optimal efficiency
- Edit and finalize projects to meet the company’s launch schedule
- Research, and pitch current social media trends and opportunities
- Shoot brand events, influencer partnerships, and various other off-site opportunities
What we’re looking for:
- Experience planning, scheduling, and executing a photoshoot
- Experience producing and editing long-form and short-form videos
- Strong communication skills
- Strong passion for photography/videography
- Strong organizational and project planning skills
- You are eager to grow with a startup brand and have a go-getter and entrepreneurial mentality
- You work well in a team environment but are also reliable and can work independently
- You roll up your sleeves and dig in and are willing to step in and help where needed, even if it’s outside of your “responsibilities”
- You are flexible. You understand that in a fast-growing company and things can change last minute
- You are a proactive self-starter who is eager to play a key role in growing a brand
