Social Media Manager
At GETTEES, we’re on a mission to create the highest quality American-made essentials. That’s why we built our own factory in Metro Detroit. By leaning on Michigan’s manufacturing roots, we are able to craft a new standard of premium essentials with honest, human values built in. We're excited to be growing a team of motivated people that are up for the challenge of building a better apparel factory in our hometown.
We are currently looking to add a Social Media Manager to our team to help lead the marketing efforts of the brand. Working in collaboration with our founder, you will be responsible for overseeing our social media channels while growing our relationships with prominent influencers, content creators, and wholesale partners. The ideal candidate will have a marketing background with experience in social media scheduling, analytics, and monitoring tools. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, a strong communicator, and has a passion for social media with a portfolio demonstrating technical proficiency.
We are a small, tight-knit team with an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for bringing apparel manufacturing to Detroit while being an advocate for the city, its lifestyle, and its creative culture. This position is a unique opportunity to work with a fast-growing startup in the apparel industry.
What you will be doing:
- Oversee the GETTEES social media channels - from ideation to content creation to publishing to community management
- Master and further develop the GETTEES voice
- Develop an ongoing content strategy to grow each channel by using audience and engagement insights
- Collaborate with our Founder and Creative Director to create and distribute engaging content that tells the GETTEES story
- Manage a weekly and monthly content calendar that is approved by key members of the team
- Identifying and building relationships with prominent influencers, content creators, and wholesale partners
- Maintain a database of influencers and brand partners
- Analyze and distribute reports on social media performance to the team and regularly make recommendations, updates, and improvements based on findings
- Respond to customer service inquiries on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok
- Forward customer feedback to the corresponding teams and recommend action steps following your learnings
What we’re looking for:
- Experience with social media scheduling, analytics, and monitoring tools
- Expert knowledge of and personal participation in social media
- Has a great eye for both creating and sourcing content
- Excellent writing/grammar skills
- Great attention to detail
- You work well in a team environment but are also reliable and can work independently
- You roll up your sleeves and dig in and are willing to step in and help where needed, even if it’s outside of your “responsibilities”
- You are a proactive self-starter who is eager to play a key role in growing a brand
- You are flexible. You understand that in a fast-growing company and things can change last minute
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Canva & Sprout Social
- A degree in Marketing is a plus
